Back to the list"SGS Acts on Climate": employee awareness campaign during COP21
As COP21 opened in Paris, SGS launched an employee awareness campaign "SGS Acts on Climate" inviting employees in 160 countries to join. Specific events such as "Lunch & Learn" and/or localized communication were organized in over 30 countries.
During the two weeks of COP21, over 1300 employees signed up on CO2-monitor, of which 75% calculated their CO2 emissions in detail, and 36% made one or several commitments to save CO2. Participants committed to save 636 t CO2 in the next 12 months, in addition to the 746 t CO2 they already save each year.
In addition to internal corporate communication, the campaign used SGS LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook channels.
